ChatMapper Desktop is the Windows application that started it all. It installs locally, runs entirely offline, and keeps every project file on your own machine. It is free for personal use, and it is still the right answer when your work cannot leave the building.

Pick Desktop if you need a fully offline, air-gapped, single-machine tool and nothing may touch a network. Pick ChatMapper in the browser for everything else: real-time collaboration, simulation, validation, AI assistance, and export to Unity, SCORM, xAPI and immersive 3D. The browser version imports your existing Chat Mapper projects, so nothing you built on Desktop is stranded.
Windows only. The installer is the normal choice; the MSI exists for managed rollouts through your IT team.

Desktop 1.9.1 is stable and supported for the people who depend on it, but active development now happens in the browser product. New capabilities such as real-time collaboration, deterministic validation, AI assistance and immersive 3D delivery land there first and will not be back-ported.
